So I had my first Cowboy Action Shoot in three years. My Grandpa, German Jack, lent me a set of his guns to use.

If your not sure what Cowboy Action Shooting is here's a brief run down. It's a shooting even using all old style guns. They must be single action i.e. you have to cock the gun after each shot. They are set up in stages with each stage having around 10 pistol shots, 10 rifle shots and anywhere from 4-8 shotgun shots. And in each stage you have to shoot the targets in specific order and it's timed. Add 5 seconds for each miss.

So anyways, I did alright. Having not shot in a long time I started off slow and just progressively got better while trying to minimize the misses. I started out shooting a the rounds in the 60 seconds. For comparison the really fast guys are in the low 30's. Good guys are in the low 40's. And average is in the high 40's to low 50's seconds.

But by the end I had gotten myself into the 40 second marks with usually only one miss. So overall a great weekend spent with my Grandpa and my Uncle.

So here is a video of my shoot. Unfortunately it was the only video i took and it was one of my worst rounds time wise because i had some shotgun issues. But after those issues i finished pretty strong with the rifle and the shotgun.
